Whilst we agree that there is no better way to show just how much you care than with flowers, we also admit that it can get a bit on the pricey side! So, here are our top tips to help you to choose the perfect floral gift for your special someone and still have a few pennies left over!

Keep it seasonal. There are a wide variety of spring flowers available around Valentine’s day. Although all flowers increase in price at this time of year, flowers such as tulips and hyacinths are often less affected. These brightly coloured flowers are not only the perfect romantic gesture but also a great antidote to the gloomy February weather!

Avoid Red. We know, we know! Red stands for passion and romance but red flowers, especially roses can double, if not triple in price at this time of year. Why not try a different colour, a classic bouquet of white roses or an equally romantic bouquet of soft pinks and purples. Save the red roses for another special occasion!
